Khaja Bandanawaz University (KBNU) is a private university located at Kalaburagi, Karnataka and was named after Sufi Saint Bande Nawaz. The University was established in 2018 by the Khaja Bandanawaz Educational Society under the Khaja Bandanawaz University Act, 2018. The University dwells about 20 colleges, including colleges previously under Khaja Bandanawaz Educational Society such as Khaja Banda Nawaz College of Engineering, Khaja Banda Nawaz Institute of Medical Sciences and a newly formed law college.

It is approved by UGC and offers programmes in the fields of Engineering & Technology, Science, Medical Science, Arts, Commerce, Management, Humanities and Social Science at UG, PG, and PhD level. Khaja Bandanawaz University was originally created to nurture the hopes and aspirations of Muslim community. However its humanitarian approach and empathy for the unprivileged sections of humanity has enabled it to provide path-breaking service since its existence.

It has worked for the upliftment of all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Moreover, Khaja Education Society fosters communal harmony, peace, tolerance, equality, love, understanding and truthfulness.
