During the course time, the students are engaged in clinical rotations, attending seminars and workshops, presenting scientific papers and research studies. Teaching methodology for postgraduates includes surgical skill classes, video sessions and cadaveric dissection. They are trained in two different surgical medical specialities that deal with the female reproductive organ. Some of the subjects covered in the syllabus are Obstetrics Pathology, Gynaecology Pathology, Neonatal Hygiene, Operative Obstetrics & Gynaecology, etc.

The candidates should have completed MBBS or done their Postgraduate Diploma from any recognized medical college or university and passed the qualifying examination with 55% or above aggregate marks. They should have appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate Examination (NEET PG) and obtained the minimum cut-off percentile to specialize in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
